Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Division is part of the Township's Department of Public Services. Code Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the general ordinances of the Township such as junk, trash and debris, vehicles, weeds, etc. Signs, illegal structures, and certain activities also fall under the purview of Code Enforcement.
Our Code Enforcement services are typically provided Monday through Friday. However, enforcement services are also provided on weekends and holidays as needed.
Complaints Must Be in Writing
The Township has adopted a policy requiring all complaints to be in writing for the Township to investigate. Please submit a complaint through our Complaint Referral Form.
- Who should I contact for a grass/weeds complaint?
- My neighbor has a car that's been sitting up on blocks for months, is that allowed?
- I filed a complaint awhile back and nothing's happened. Why hasn't Code Enforcement responded yet?
- If I cannot fix a problem within the time allotted on the notice, will Code Enforcement work with me?
- My neighbor's grass is a foot long. Don't they have to mow it!?
